A commissioned book cover I designed and illustrated for a Police Detective in Sydney, Australia who wrote his memoirs using a pseudonym. The author imagines Kit as Dick Tracy channeling Charles Bukowski's outlook with rude wit, a lively sense of the grotesque, a disgust for sham, and a contempt for pettiness. One of his interrogation techniques noted in his memoirs was using a wet mop he found in a urinal as a persuasive informative tool for confessions as well as giving the perpetrator a free shampoo rinse and facial.
